Pio­nee­ring work in elec­tro­che­mi­cal water treatment

ELYSATOR Engi­nee­ring AG in Bil­ten cele­bra­ted its 55th anni­ver­sa­ry in Sep­tem­ber. The anni­ver­sa­ry event at the linth­a­re­na offe­red an impres­si­ve review of the suc­cess sto­ry of a com­pa­ny that has had a las­ting impact on water treatment.

From niche pro­duct to indus­try standard

Back in the 1960s, foun­der Hein­rich Ricken­bach and his brot­her deve­lo­ped the first ELYSATOR device – a che­mi­cal-free solu­ti­on for pro­tec­ting hea­ting sys­tems from cor­ro­si­on. The prin­ci­ple: magne­si­um anodes use elec­tro­che­mi­cal pro­ces­ses to bind the oxy­gen in the hea­ting water, pre­ven­ting depo­sits and thus exten­ding the ser­vice life of sys­tems – wit­hout any che­mi­cals, easy to main­tain and envi­ron­men­tal­ly friendly.

With the advent of under­flo­or hea­ting in the 1980s, the pro­cess final­ly gai­ned accep­tance. Today, the ELYSATOR stan­dard is firm­ly estab­lished in hea­ting, coo­ling and buil­ding technology.

Inno­va­ti­on and growth

Mana­ging Direc­tor Rolf Frei has been at the helm of the com­pa­ny sin­ce 2017, streng­thening its inter­na­tio­nal ori­en­ta­ti­on. ELYSATOR Engi­nee­ring AG now sup­pli­es 17 count­ries and pro­du­ces around 400 ton­nes of high-qua­li­ty devices annu­al­ly. The new, expan­ded pro­duc­tion faci­li­ty in Bil­ten ensu­res even more effi­ci­ent pro­ces­ses and the hig­hest qua­li­ty standards.

With inno­va­ti­ve pro­ducts such as PUROTAP, H2O DESAL and H2O GUARD, ELYSATOR offers solu­ti­ons for resour­ce-saving and long-las­ting water tre­at­ment – in line with the prin­ci­ples of a sus­tainable ener­gy transition.

The com­pany’s suc­cess is based on dedi­ca­ted employees, long-stan­ding part­ners and loy­al cus­to­mers. “We all live in an honest and con­s­truc­ti­ve part­ner­ship,” empha­si­s­es Rolf Frei.

The anni­ver­sa­ry was cele­bra­ted with a fes­ti­ve event, a 4‑course meal and a con­cert by dialect rap­per Bligg – a suc­cessful mix of retro­s­pec­tion, gra­ti­tu­de and visi­on for the future.
