55 years of ELYSATOR Engineering AG
Pioneering work in electrochemical water treatment
ELYSATOR Engineering AG in Bilten celebrated its 55th anniversary in September. The anniversary event at the lintharena offered an impressive review of the success story of a company that has had a lasting impact on water treatment.
From niche product to industry standard
Back in the 1960s, founder Heinrich Rickenbach and his brother developed the first ELYSATOR device – a chemical-free solution for protecting heating systems from corrosion. The principle: magnesium anodes use electrochemical processes to bind the oxygen in the heating water, preventing deposits and thus extending the service life of systems – without any chemicals, easy to maintain and environmentally friendly.
With the advent of underfloor heating in the 1980s, the process finally gained acceptance. Today, the ELYSATOR standard is firmly established in heating, cooling and building technology.
Innovation and growth
Managing Director Rolf Frei has been at the helm of the company since 2017, strengthening its international orientation. ELYSATOR Engineering AG now supplies 17 countries and produces around 400 tonnes of high-quality devices annually. The new, expanded production facility in Bilten ensures even more efficient processes and the highest quality standards.
With innovative products such as PUROTAP, H2O DESAL and H2O GUARD, ELYSATOR offers solutions for resource-saving and long-lasting water treatment – in line with the principles of a sustainable energy transition.
Partnership and future
The company’s success is based on dedicated employees, long-standing partners and loyal customers. “We all live in an honest and constructive partnership,” emphasises Rolf Frei.
The anniversary was celebrated with a festive event, a 4‑course meal and a concert by dialect rapper Bligg – a successful mix of retrospection, gratitude and vision for the future.
ELYSATOR® develops technical water – simple, safe and environmentally friendly, so that it fits.
